Raw milk farmer Michael Schmidt and his lawyer will be at Queen’s Park this morning.
The Durham area man plans to give an update on his battle against laws that control the distribution of unpasteurized milk.
He says the Canadian Constitution Foundation, a group that defends constitutional freedoms, will be at his side today.
Meanwhile the court ruling on Schmidt’s trial on distributing raw milk isn’t expected until January.
Raw milk cannot be sold in Ontario, but he argues it is just as safe as pasteurized milk.
Schmidt faces a total of 20 counts including charges under the “Milk Act” of operating a dairy without a licence, and selling milk that is not pasteurized.
