An inquest into the death of a man at an Owen Sound construction site is underway.
The inquest into the death of 48 year old Daniel Pelletier of Sarnia began at 10 AM today at Owen Sound City Hall.
Pelletier died July 24th, 2007 from injuries he received while working outside a house on 4th Avenue West in Owen Sound.
He fell about three metres into a concrete bottomed window well, and suffered critical head and neck injuries before dying in Toronto hospital.
An inquest is mandatory when a worker dies as a result of an accident at a construction project.
Three days have been set aside for the hearing and 11 witnesses are expected to testify.
The jury will make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
