Once again – there is too much power being generated at Bruce Power in Tiverton to meet the need in our province.
Bruce B Unit 6 is offline until further notice.
It was taken off line early Sunday morning due to what officials call a “surplus of baseload generation in Ontario”.
This summer – varying units were taken off line for the same reason.
Units 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 remain online.
Units 3 and 4 were brought back on line last week at the Bruce A Generating Station – they had been off since September as part of the scheduled inspection of the stations vacuum building.
