South Bruce Council has decided how it will divide over 380 thousand dollars in provincial ‘Investing in Ontario’ funding in 2010.
The money is being put towards a proposed new bridge on Sideroad 25 in Carrick.
It will also pay for a new solar heating system for the Mildmay pool, the Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex, the Teeswater Culross Community Centre and the Teeswater Library.
Mayor Bill Goetz says they money has to be spent in a certain amount of time, so they prioritize it in order to get the biggest bang for their bucks.
Goetz says there are more projects but only so much money to be used.
He says there are a series of one-lane bridges with load limits in the municipality that should be replaced too.
