A court case against the husband of Simcoe Grey MP Helena Guergis is on hold until December 10th.
Former Alberta Conservative M-P Rahim Jaffer was not in court today in Orangeville when the date was set.
Jaffer faces cocaine possession and drunk driving charges after being arrested east of Orangeville in September.
During the last election campaign, Jaffer approved radio ads which supported drug free schools and getting tough with drug dealers.
The 37-year-old Jaffer was the MP for the riding of Edmonton-Strathcona from 1997 until a surprise defeat in last year’s election to an NDP candidate.
His loss was the only Tory loss in all of Alberta.
