The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation has one of its most aggressive fundraisers underway.
Fundraising chair of the Light the Way campaign, chiropractor Doctor Claire Jeffery says the event helps raise money for much needed medical equipment.
Jeffery says this year’s goal is to raise 80 thousand dollars towards the purchase of two new electrocardiograms (ECG’s) for the hospital emergency department in Southampton.
Last year the campaign raised 83 thousand dollars that was used to purchase essential lab equipment for the hospital.
Jeffery says all money raised in this campaign stays in Saugeen Shores for use at Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
She says residents of the area should have received their letter in the mail that allows you to donate whatever you can afford.
Jeffery says tax receipts are issued.
