It looks like winter weather won’t be arriving as early as it did last year.
Environment Canada Senior Climatologist David Phillips tells Bayshore Broadcasting News above normal temperatures for this time of year will stick around atleast another week.
Phillips says temperatures are usually around 5 as a high and a low of minus 2 in November.
He tells us we’ll see a double digit high on Saturday and still mild on Sunday.
Phillips expects plenty of sunshine next week with temperatures still 3 to 5 degrees warmer than normal.
The first dumping of snow in our area last year was on November 15th with three times the normal amount of snow all at once in the last 2 weeks of November.
Phillips says that won’t happen this year but he does predict snow before the end of November.
He says this winter will be warmer and drier than normal meaning we won’t get as much snow as last year.
