The investigation into the death of a woman on the Bruce Peninsula is over.
Bruce Peninsula OPP Media Relations Officer, Constable Dave Meyer says the cause of death in the case was drowning.
The body of 67 year old Martha McCulloch of Allenford was found last week in the Sauble River, just a few hundred yards from where her vehicle was parked on Bruce road 8 near the Allenford road.
McCulloch was scheduled for an appointment in Wiarton last Tuesday but she never showed up.
Her car was found that evening.
An extensive search found the womans’ body in the river the following day.
Constable Meyer says foul play is not suspected, and the case is now considered closed.
