There is another open house today for a plan to bury nuclear waste at the Bruce nuclear generating station in Tiverton.
The Nuclear Waste Management Organization will host the open house from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
The proposed Deep Geological Repository calls for a 680 metre deep vault.
It would house low and intermediate level radioactive waste from Ontario’s nuclear power plants will be stored underground.
Approval is not expected to come for at least another two years.
Meetings have already been held in Chesley, Kincardine, Ripley, Walkerton and Port Elgin.
The last meeting will be held on Thursday at the Wiarton and District Community Centre.
