The feline frenzy in Ripley seems to be easing.
As we told you back in September — some residents approached Huron Kinloss council about many malnourished, sick and reproducing cats in their neighbourhood.
The residents told council the cats seemed to be coming from one house that has fallen into disrepair and where the owner is hardly ever home.
They were afraid of the cats being a threat to health and safety.
Mayor Mitch Twolan says a lot of the cats have now been removed by the Society for the Prevention of the Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
