More residents who fall into the high risk category can get their H1N1 flu shot in Owen Sound today.
As Bayshore Broadcasting News Reporter Manny Paiva tells us — the health unit has added a clinic at their office.
The clinic today is still only for high priority residents — including pregnant women, young children and adults with chronic health conditions.
It runs from 10 AM till 2 PM today.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit added the clinic this week to meet the demand from local residents.
Medical Officer of Health Doctor Hazel Lynn had hoped to allow the general population to receive vaccinations today.
But she says they don’t have enough vaccine and there has been no direction from the Ministry of Health.
Pregnant women who want the non adjuvant vaccine can call the health unit for an appointment to receive the shot on Monday.
There is also an H1N1 flu clinic at the Chesley Community Centre on Monday.
