A Chatsworth resident is now a member of the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
Carl Bastedo has been inducted as a motocross competitor, organizer, and contributor.
In 1960 – Bastedo became the youngest rider at the time to be issued a Canadian Motorcycle Association racing licence, at the age of 16.
The Hamilton native is now the owner of Motopark, a training and recreational facility, in Chatsworth.
He also still works as a manager for Canada’s team in the international Motocross of Nations.
A total of 8 individuals and 2 groups were inducted at the 4th annual Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and Reunion in Toronto on October 24th.
