A new automotive repair shop is coming to Hanover.
The shop will be located on 24th Avenue near the town’s east water tower.
Chief Building Official Don Tedford says the shop will help expand Hanover’s commercial sector off of the main street.
Tedford believes Hanover can support another automotive repair shop.
He says in order for these operations to be successful they really need to focus on the newer model of cars with all of their electronic and computer components.
Tedford says with everyone trading in their old clunkers and junkers, mechanics have to the expertise to diagnose these higher tech vehicles.
All of the approvals are in place and construction on the 32 hundred square foot auto shop will begin soon.
The shop should be complete by Spring.
