Grey County OPP are investigating a case of arson in Dundalk.
Police say a resident in Southgate Township called 9-1-1 just before 6 o’clock Monday morning when they noticed smoke coming from a nearby home.
The Dundalk Fire Department was able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
Damage was minimum and was mostly caused by smoke.
Police say the home on McDowell Street was unoccupied and under renovation.
Officers determined the origin of the fire was suspicious and notified the Ontario Fire Marshal.
An investigator from the OFM examined the fire and determined that the cause was arson.
Anyone with information is asked to call OPP or Crime Stoppers.
