The Teeswater Town Hall Management Board just got a federal helping hand to put on a play.
Minister of Veterans Affairs Greg Thompson, Minister of Human Resources and Skill Development Diane Finley, announced last week that federal government support of their project honouring veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Teeswater group is getting three thousand dollars to put on the play “Boy Soldier” on November 6th.
The play will be presented to the students from Grades 6 to 12 in the Bluewater District and Avon-Maitland District school boards as well as the Grey-Bruce Roman Catholic school board.
The play is set in southern Ontario in 1918 and explores the effects of the First World War on rural Ontario.
The event should reach approximately 520 students and teachers.
