The annual Women’s House Serving Bruce Grey Fall Gala is tonight.
This year, those in attendance will be recognizing the agency’s 25th year in existence and raising funds for the house.
Community and Fund Development Coordinator Bev Spence says the best news of all is that it’s a sold out event; in fact tickets have not been available since July.
Spence says the sell out is a testament to how supportive the community is when it comes to the Women’s House and its needs.
Funds raised buy much needed things for the women who need the services of the origination, and Spence says in honour of their 25th year – they hope to raise 25 thousand dollars.
She says that would go along way in this year’s budget of 121 thousand dollars.
The event is being held at the Best Western Governor’s Inn, Kincardine.
A silent auction is part of the festivities, along with dinner and presentations.
