Another weekend of hydro outages in the Kincardine area.
The planned outages will take place between 8 AM and 2 PM today and Sunday.
Hydro One spokesperson Danielle Gauvin says about four thousand customers in parts of Huron and Ashfield townships, and the lower part of Kincardine Township will be affected and should have been notified.
The Town of Kincardine itself is NOT affected.
Gauvin says this is a continuation of work that began last weekend and this weekend they’re bringing in about 140 workers and support staff from around Southwestern Ontario to get the work done as quickly as possible.
Crews are installing more than fifty new poles, moving about 50 other poles on Highway 21 and replacing 11 kilometres of older conductor with new, stronger, wire less susceptible to weather damage.
