Its going to be a perfect Sunday to take a run to a great cause.
The first annual Y’s Autumn Colours Run happens this Sunday at Harrison Park in Owen Sound.
Organizer Mark Avery says this fundraiser for the Strong Kids Campaign replaces the dream action – having been run for over 20 years.
The run has three categories – a 2-K, 5-K walk or run and 10-K run.
Registration opens at 8:30 AM tomorrow and the runs start at 10 AM.
The Strong Kids Campaign is to help fund programs for kids who would not otherwise be able to afford to attend the Y.
Avery says although it is the first year – they would still like to raise 5 thousand dollars towards the cause with over 150 runners.
