There will be no school accommodation review for the Bluewater public school board this year.
Even though a number of schools were identified under the policy, the board has decided to spend more time reviewing them.
Superintendent of Business Brenda Booth says they want to see if they should be on the capital priority list for renovation or replacement.
She says there is no real hurry to do the reviews this school year.
Booth says the easier reviews involving communities with more than one school have already been reviewed — and the upcoming ones are single school communities that are more difficult to deal with.
Among the number one priority schools for capital improvements are John Diefenbaker Secondary in Hanover.
Also being suggested for addition to the list are Dawnview Public School, Derby Public, Beavercrest, Paisley, Sullivan, and Saugeen District Secondary School.
