What is one of the major fundraising events for Owen Sound’s two Museums?
It’s the Mighty Museum Trivia Challenge.
The fifth annual event goes this evening with the first question being asked at 7 PM.
Organizer Kathy Strutt says the Billy Bishop Home and Museum and the Marine and Rail Museum are both not for profit organizations and this is one way to raise money to fund their programs.
She says the proceeds will be evenly split between the two museums to develop educational programs and to expand exhibits and displays.
In addition to the trivia challenge, there also is a silent auction that feature such items as two Toronto Raptor tickets, an rare Lego electric train set and sightseeing tours from both the Billy Bishop and Wiarton Airports.
Strutt says the quizmaster and MC for the evening will be Bayshore Broadcasting’s JD Moffat.
