Now that the Canadian dollar is almost at par with the US greenback, lots of people are expected to take the trip south of the border for some shopping.

Most people told us the drive wasn’t worth saving a bit of money on gifts, and that the prices around here are probably pretty competitive anyway.
One woman told us she had been to the US already for some shopping, and it really wasn’t worth the trip.
Another woman told us she would be going to see if there are any deals, though.
