Churches across Owen Sound will be opening their doors today.
Close to 20 churches are taking part in today’s open house allowing residents to come in at the leisure and get more information.
Pastor Peter Caran of the Owen Sound 7th Day Adventist Church says the concept is all about being open and transparent and reaching out to new comers or those who may have been inactive in the church for a while.
Pastor Caran says its important for churches to keep up with the times and stay relevant to society by trying to reach the masses — particularly younger people who live in a society where anything goes.
Several churches around the city will open their doors from 2 PM until 5 PM this afternoon.
