You can get a rabies vaccine shot for your pet today.
The Owen Sound Animal Shelter is holding a rabies clinic from Noon till 5 PM at the office located on 18th Avenue East.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit reports 8 confirmed cases of rabid animals this year — a sharp increase over the 5 cases last year.
The rabies vaccine will be available for 25 dollars per animal.
But there will be no physical exam — you must take your pet to a veterinarian for an exam or other vaccine shot.
