There’s a special open house tonight from 7 PM until 9 PM at the Hanover Civic Centre.
You are not alone – that’s the message of the Parents Against Drug Abuse support group — and they will spread that message at tonight’s open house.
Spokesperson Judi Walter encourages parents of youth involved in substance abuse to attend the meeting.
Walter says parents and family members should not suffer in silence.
She says their members know what these parents are going through and they want to provide emotional support.
Walter says parents can also pick up pamphlets and information packages regarding rehab and the other available services for their youth.
Walter says crystal meth remains the biggest drug problem in Hanover.
She says it is ripping families apart and slowly killing our youth.
But Walter feels there is hope as there are more and more success stories about youth getting off crystal meth.
She says parents need to know that there is hope so they have the strength to help their children rehabilitate.
