Several OPP detachments in Bruce and Huron counties are getting more money from the provincial government.
Huron Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell says in a news release the money will be used to support police officers who conduct RIDE program spot checks.
Over 52 thousand dollars ($52,266) will be shared by six police services.
Saugeen Shores Police, South Bruce OPP, Bruce Penninsula OPP and Huron/Goderich OPP will each receive over nine thousand dollars each.
The Wingham police service gets almost seven thousand and South Huron OPP will get just over 75 hundred.
The money will be used to create more RIDE checks throughout the year.
