New safety rules will be in place when skiiers hit the slopes at Blue Mountain this coming season.
The company that operates Blue and the Quebec ski resort where actress Natasha Richardson had a fall that led to her death has announced the new rules for all its properties.
Vancouver-based Intrawest says helmets will be mandatory for all children and teens enrolled in ski and snowboard programs.
It will also recommend that all skiers and snowboarders wear helmets.
Richardson died of a blood clot on the brain in March just days after a minor fall at Mount Tremblant.
