It is just taking its time in getting here.
Chair of the Ontario Apple Growers Association and local apple grower Brian Gilroy says because this situation is so unique, it will take time to get compensation from the provincial government.
He says the wheels are moving, but as everyone knows, the wheels of government move slowly and they have to make sure mistakes are not made.
Gilroy says he remains optimistic that people will receive fair compensation from this disaster.
He says local producers also could be in for some help from the federal government through the Agri Recovery program and maybe this situation qualifies for some form of aid.
Girloy is hopeful that the Ministry will bend the rules somewhat to help Ardiel.
