Good news for the Hanover and District Hospital.
It will receive a grant for 187 thousand dollars in new infrastructure funding as part of the provinces Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.
Hospital CEO Katrina Wilson says this is the largest amount of infrastructure funding that the hospital has ever received.
She says the money will be used to fund various capital upgrades in the hospital.
These projects include the renovation of the helicopter pad, upgrades to the fire alarm system and the removal of asbestos in the hospital.
Wilson says the projects may not seem like exciting ones but they are all very important.
The Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund is flowing through the South West Local Health Integration Network to the Hanover and District Hospital.
