There was a Grey County flavour to the International Plowing Match in Earlton.
Brian Davenport of Owen Sound placed 9th in the Ontario Plowing Championship.
His daughter Carrie finished 4th in the Junior Class.
She also won a 25 hundred dollar Petro Partners Scholarship to use for post secondary education.
Austin Davenport of Annan finished 6th in the Under 16 Plowing Class.
Charlotte Curley of Tara placed first in the Novice Plowing Class and second overall.
Camille Black of Markdale finished the second runner up in the Ontario Queen of the Furrow competition.
There were also a number of judges from Bruce and Grey Counties.
Over 80 thousand people attended the IPM in Earlton.
The 2010 Plowing Match moves to Elgin County.
