It’ a night to celebrate, remember and fight back.
Hanover is hosting its fourth annual Relay for Life event — the last Relay in Bruce and Grey Counties.
The Hanover Racetrack will be aglow with candles this evening while participants walk the track all night long.
Event Chair Patti Golem says about 400 people are participating in the 12 hour event this year.
She says their will be live entertainment, games, food, karaoke and of course lots and lots of walking, laughing and even some tears.
The Relay for Live event has been very well received in Hanover.
Over the last three years participants have raised more than half a million dollars.
Golem says the Hanover and surrounding area has always been incredible generous when it comes to this worthy fundraiser.
She says cancer touches everyone and thats why so many people come out and support Relay for Life.
The opening ceremonies begin at 7 PM and wrap up at 7 AM tomorrow.
Member of the public are welcomed to join the participants.
