Two days are set aside for public hearings with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
Officials with the CNSC will be at the CAW Family Education Centre Wednesday, September 30th and Thursday October 1st.
Proceedings will also be webcast live on the CNSC website. (www.nuclearsafety.gc.ca)
The second day will of be of particular interest to many residents in Bruce and Grey.
That is when the CNSC will hear from the public as it considers Bruce Power’s application for the renewal of the operating licences for the Bruce A and B Nuclear Generating Stations.
Officials will also discuss the Tiverton nuclear plant’s reloading of fuel for Bruce A Units 1 and 2.
Public comments are welcome.
Hearings get underway at 7 PM on Wednesday and at 8:30 AM on Thursday.
