A tragic end to the search for a missing canoeist on Lake Huron.
Bruce Peninsula OPP say the body of 26 year old Kristofer Lyons of St. Catherines was found this morning off Saugeen First Nation.
It was spotted from the air by the OPP helicopter around 10:15 AM.
OPP marine units arrived and recovered the young mans body in about 8 feet of water, some 300 metres from shore.
The Coroner attended and pronounced the 26-year-old deceased after he arrived at shore.
The coroner has ordered a post mortem to determine cause of death.
Two other people who were in the canoe with him when it overturned last night, made it to shore safely.
A search last night by the OPP and Search and Rescue out of Trenton failed to find the man.
