It’s a busy day at Cape Croker.
The 7th Annual Nawash Invitational Mountain Bike Race is being held today at Chippewa of Nawash First Nation.
All children between the ages of 3 and 17 are invited to participate.
There are age categories of every two years and races ranging from 0.5 km to 12 km.
Medals will be given out for the top three in each age category for girls and for boys.
The event is free and is meant to show children how fun physical activity can be.
The only requirements are helmets and properly working bikes.
Bike mechanics will be at Cape Croker Park starting at 9 AM to help anyone who needs their bike fixed.
A picnic will be held at noon and then the races start at 2 PM.
The event is sponsored by Cape Croker Park, Bruce Power, and Mountain Equipment Coop.
