Saugeen Shores Police Service are investigating the death of a 4 year old boy in south Port Elgin.
Police Chief Dan Rivett says police and emergency personnel were dispatched to a home around 2:30 PM Thursday where the unidentified child showed no vital signs.
Rivett says when they arrived neighbours were performing CPR on the child.
He was rushed to Saugeen Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Rivett says an autopsy is being performed on the boy today to determine a cause of death.
No other details are being released as the investigation continues.
