DanceMakers of Owen Sound have expanded both their location and their services with the introduction of Dancemakers Gymnastics.
DanceMakers Gymnastics will stage their Grand Opening on Wednesday from 5 PM to 8 PM at 3195 East Bayshore Road in Owen Sound.
The Grand Opening will feature tours, demonstrations, a ribbon cutting plus have owners and staff on hand to discuss the new project.
DanceMakers Gymnastics is a natural extension of the existing businesses according to co-owner Bob Hooper.
Hooper, his wife Mijka and Petra Ballantyne are offering gymnastics as a partner to their existing business, DanceMakers & SportsMakers, which provide both dance and fitness programs.
Hooper states the combination of dance, fitness and now gymnastics will offer a well rounded selection of activities for everyone in the family, all in one central location.
As part of the preparation for the Grand Opening, DanceMakers Gymnastics held 5 weeks of Gymnastics Camps this summer, camps that were very well received by the participants according to Hooper.
Hooper relates the progression of DanceMakers Gymnastics will take the form of baby steps.
Eventually, he envisions major gymnastic competitions at the facility, which can accommodate hundreds of spectators, will be a staple of their facility and programs.
