Kincardine is still waiting to hear whether it is successful in getting a grant for accessibility improvements at the Kincardine Centre of the Arts.
Clerk Donna MacDougall says the program allows municipalities to apply for up to 50 thousand dollars to renovate buildings and make them more accessible.
She says an automatic door and fully accessible washrooms would be added to the facility at the historic old town hall.
Councillor Kenneth Craig says it would be a great means of making the facility easier for people with disabilities to access.
Council is also seeking federal stimulus funding for accessibility upgrades to a fairgrounds building and washrooms at Connaught Park.
