An update on that U-Haul theft in Owen Sound last Monday…
Owen Sound city police report some of the stolen items have been recovered.
You may remember, on Monday, someone stole a fully loaded U-Haul truck from a driveway in Owen Sound.
Along with furniture, clothing… and some food, the thieves took medication for a sick 2 year old girl.
The girl has gone through several heart surgeries and other procedures since she’s been born and the moving truck contained a record of the girl’s medical procedures.
A homeowner in South Bruce Peninsula discovered some of the stolen items in a field… and they did belong the victims.
The family has now moved from Owen Sound to Guelph.
Still no arrest, and police say the U-Haul looks like every other one in the province but it did have Arizona plates.
