Owen Sound is getting some money from the Provincial government.
Owen Sound, the Owen Sound Farmers Market and the Owen Sound Downtown Improvement Area are receiving up to 259 thousand dollars through the Rural Economic Development Program.
The money will be used to spruce up the downtown and harbour and renovate its heritage CP Rail Station located on the waterfront, install new highway signage and set up an information kiosk.
Mayor Ruth Lovell Stanners says they can now move even closer to the goal of beautifying the downtown and attracting new residents, new businesses and new investment to the area.
She says it is great news which will help us showcase the citys assets and strengths.
