How are you going to keep them down on the farm when you can go to the Meaford and St. Vincent Fall Fair.
This years event kicks off this afternoon and continues tomorrow at the Meaford Curling Club and Fairgrounds at Collingwood and Thompson streets.
Meaford and St. Vincent Agricultural Society official Verla Cramp-white says the exhibit hall will be open for view this evening where people can see everything from quilts to preserves to woodworking and vegetables.
Tomorrow, Saturday the focus will be on the outdoor activities that range from the miniature horse show, heavy horse pull and saddle horse show.
She says a very popular event is the miniature horse show which is getting larger every year.
In addition Cramp White says the young people will take centre stage with the invitational 4-H calf club show, Junior calf show and the St. Vincent 4 H calf club show.
She says the days activities begin at 9 AM.
Cramp White says fall fairs remain very popular because people want to get to know their local farmers and just where their food comes from.
