Arran Elderslie is close to finding their next Chief Building Official.
The Municipality has been searching to replace Craig Johnston who was fired in June for breach of contract.
Mayor Ron Oswald says they have narrowed the search down to 2 applicants and will be conducting interviews next week.
Oswald says they are very satisfied with the number of quality applications that were submitted for the position.
He says the candidates they screened had lots of experience in the area.
Oswald says the C-B-Os of Brockton — Terry Tuck — and Owen Sound — Brian Green — have been helping out while they have been searching for a new C-B-O.
He says he appreciates the help during the most busiest time for construction in the municipality.
Oswald expects to name a new C-B-O by the end of next week.
