A massive joint police operation has ended in Southwest Ontario, designed to put an end to a number of outdoor marijuana grow operations.
The operation involved 11 different police services — including the RCMP, the OPP as well as the Owen Sound Police Service, Saugeen Shores Police Service, West Grey Police Service, Hanover Police Service and Wingham Police Service.
Operatio OSABOT resulted in the seizure of more than 22 thousand marijuana plants.
They had an estimated street value of 22 million dollars.
At the conclusion of the operation, the plants were successfully located, seized, and destroyed.
The operation ran from Monday, August 24th to Monday, August 31st.
But there are no suspects.
