A huge boost for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank
The Antique Extravaganza and Norwegian Fjord Horses at John and Eunice Bosomworths Farm near Ayton was a huge success over the weekend.
According to event organizer Carol Leibold — the event raised 20 thousand dollars.
She says when the Canadian International Development Agency matches that on a 4 to 1 ratio — it equals 100 thousand dollars.
Liebold says they sold 104 pies, 500 sausage, 240 hot dogs, and over 250 bags of popcorn despite a rainy morning.
She goes on to report that everyone who attended enjoyed wondering around the sheds and barn to see all the antiques and horses.
