Hanover will soon have its own gymnastics program.
The town is launching ‘Hanover GymKids’ this September.
The program will include Tiny Tumblers for 3 to 5 years olds, Springers for 6 to 8 year olds and Flyers for 9 to 12 year olds.
Manager of Programs Sherri Walden says this gymnastics program has been a year in the making.
She says the biggest obstacle was finding certified coaching staff.
With coaching staff now secured the new program will begin with gymnastics fundamentals and progress through Gymnastics Canada CanGym levels.
Walden credits a group of community volunteers who had the strong vision for the gymnastics program.
She says it’s been years since a gymnastic program has been offered in Hanover.
The GymKids gymnastic program will be offered at John Diefenbaker Secondary School.
Registration will begin in early September with the program set to begin September 29th.
