People are getting ready to embark on a Wellness Roadtrip through Owen Sound.
Organizer Maryann Thomas says Saturday’s event is meant to introduce you to some of the many alternative approaches to health and wellness that are available in the community.
The owner of The Ginger Press says the idea for the Wellness Roadtrip came from the popularity of artist studio tours and garden tours – and people were quick to get onboard.
Thomas says over two dozen practitioners at a total of nine venues are participating in the event, covering a wide range of services.
Thomas says just to name a few, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about reiki, naturopathy, massage, yoga, Native spiritually, aromatherapy, and nutrition.
Thomas says it’s the perfect way to explore these services and meet the people offering them, before making appointments and spending some money.
She says the Roadtrip program at each venue is completely different, but typically involve lectures, demonstrations, and product sampling.
The Wellness Roadtrip is a self-guided tour from 10 AM to 5 PM today.
Tickets are 10 dollars and are available at The Ginger Press and Good Health Mart.
Thomas adds the event is already getting a great response.
