The celebration of celtic culture in Kincardine continues as the Mass Band Festival is being held today.
It’s the 18th year for the Gathering of the Bands.
Saturday’s event will feature more than just bagpipes, big band and folk acts are scheduled as well.
The event has drawn three thousand people in the past, who come out to
enjoy the music in lawn chairs under Victoria Park’s tall maples.
The music starts at Noon today and goes until 8 PM when the ever popular Mass Pipes and Drums parade takes place.
There’s also all you can eat hot dogs and corn on the cob, a fundraiser for the Kincardine Legion.
The Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band has been busy all week getting ready for the weekend.
On Wednesday evening, they practised outdoors by Station Beach.
