Think of how big a school bus looks to a four year old.
A program being held this weekend is helping your little one not be afraid when boarding the bus for the first time this September.
The Association of Grey Bruce Bus Operators is offering the First Rider program throughout the region tomorrow.
The 30 minute workshops will help parents and first time bus riders prepare for their daily ride to and from school.
The General Manager of the Bruce Grey Transportation Consortium Steve Lustig says program offers tips on safety, give the kids a quick ride on bus, and is mainly used to ease first day jitters.
The workshops are being held at…
MacPhail Memorial Elementary School in Flesherton
Holy Family School in Hanover
St Anthony’s School in Kincardine
St Vincent Euphrasia School in Meaford
Sydenham Community School in Owen Sound
Paisley Central School in Paisley
First Student Office in Port Elgin
Mother Theresa School in Walkerton
Most of the workshops run from 10 AM until Noon on Saturday but you should call ahead for times.
The workshop is open for all first time riders in both the public and Catholic school boards.
More information can be found at the Bluewater public school board website in the transportation section.
