Raising money through food.
The Saugeen Sustainability Volunteer and Resource Centre, formerly the Saugeen Sustainibility Centre, is holding a fundraiser dinner this evening.
The event is sold out.
Spokesperson Victoria Serda says the inaugural Savour the Flavour Community Dinner will feature locally grown foods donated by Southampton restaurants.
Serda says the money raised at the dinner will be used to further the work done at the centre on Goderich Street in Port Elgin.
She says tickets are available at the Saugeen Sustainability office; Harrigans 100 mile market in Southampton and at the door.
The event takes place at the Southampton Town Hall, at 6 PM.
Serda says the sustainability office recently received it’s not for profit status and the mission of office is to promote sustainable community development.
