The 5th annual Sail for Hope takes place today in Thornbury.
The sold out cruise on Georgian Bay is a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society.
People buy tickets for 60 dollars to take a 3 to 4 hour cruise on Georgian Bay and have dinner at the Thornbury Yacht Club.
There is a silent auction as well.
Organizer Alan Chesworth hopes they can raise close to 15 thousand dollars by the end of the day.
He says most of the money will go to the Cancer Society’s transportation program — where patients can get rides to tests done in Toronto or London.
