It’s all about the tomato at the Wiarton Farmer’s Market today.
Spokesperson Kelsey Carriere says the vendors are celebrating the tomato season in Grey/Bruce with a fresh locally/grown tomato pasta dinner at the market in Bluewater Park, under the old train station pavilion.
Carriere says it’s been a reasonably good growing season for tomatoes and they have a locally grown organic menu for your pleasure.
She says dinner will be served at the market from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Carriere says the last time they did a locally grown dinner at the market, it was sold out.
She suggests reserving a spot by calling her at 519-534-2043.
Tickets for the dinner are 12 dollars with those under 12 eat for 6 dollars.
The dinner is part of a day of activities at the Wiarton Farmer’s Market.
Carriere says there will be musical entertainment and kids activities all day, along with a natural gardening seminar.
