A new business about to open in Owen Sound.
Norman Wareham and his family of Annan have opened Lazer Runner — in fact, the first day of operation is today.
Its a laser tag game similar to paint ball — but without the paint.
Wareham says they’ve actually been looking for a location since arriving from Vancouver about six years ago.
They’re now leasing the building next to The Brick on 8th Street East.
Wareham says they’ll be promoting it as a family activity.
He says once school starts — the facility won’t open until 3:30 PM in order not to temp students away from class.
Wareham says the 27 hundred square foot arena will house barriers where players can hide from their opponents who are all wearing fibre optic vests and equipped with phasers.
